I have been researching starting rental properties but am somewhat confused about financing. I understand the concept of a conventional mortgage but it appears there are a few more components with investment properties, and the types of loans. I do not know which products most people start with or what actually counts toward approving for financing. Trying to understand common first-time deal financing approaches.
