Tips and a guide for every ending in Fear and Hunger from someone who has beaten every ending.

I got the game around a month ago and went into it 100% blind. I managed to get every ending during this time period so I thought I'd drop some advice for anyone who needs it, while still keeping it vague enough that you can have fun!

Obvious warning for spoilers however I have tried to keep it relatively vague.

  • Ending E: Escape?
    • This ending is by far the easiest as all you need to do is reach Le'garde and leave the dungeons. It doesn't matter if hes alive or dead, you just need to meet him and get out of there. My best advice is to play Cahara with Dash and Escape Plan, then simply rush through the floors while avoiding all combat.
  • Ending D: A new god
    • This one is quite a step up from the previous ending, however it is still a tad bit difficult. I recommend playing as Ragnvaldr and forming a marriage with Cahara then picking up D'arce, Enki, and the Girl before getting to Ma'habre. Once you're there you should save at the present version of the Tower of Endless and then head to the Library and loot every bookshelf there. Give any scrolls with good spells to party members other than yourself and take out each required boss. Once you're in The Void don't bother getting your allies, simply head to the ending as fast as possible and avoid combat with the Greater Blights by hiding in holes.
  • Ending C and C-II: "The Yellow King" and "The prophecy"
    • The main difference from Ending D is that you must have Le'garde in your party before sitting on the Throne of Ascension. It does not matter how badly damaged he is, Le'garde just has to be alive by this point. Do not try to put amazing gear or spells on him, however, as you will lose access to them after this point. Once you're in The Void Make sure to get all of your party members before going to the end, and by that point its simply about picking between two choices.
    • IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have Nas'hrah in your party he WILL NOT follow you into the void, which will be a serious handicap. I recommend to not even bother getting him for this ending.
  • Ending B: "The Older one"
    • You will need to go through ALL of Ma'habre here EXCEPT for the Throne of Ascension. Once you unlock the Golden Temple, head inside the present version and go all the way down the hallway. Ignore if it says something is coming, keep moving and you will be fine. Once you get to the end cut open the purple organ and head back to the dungeons. You should have, by this point, cut open the other two organs. If you haven't, one is on the same floor that you find Le'garde and the other is in the Thicket. After this head back to where you got the cube of the depths and jump in that mouth! I recommend saving your game at this point if you have a Book of Enlightenment. Navigate through the gauntlet and make sure your party is fully prepped for a hard fight!
    • DO NOT BRING NAS'HRAH OR THE GIRL TO THE END, as you will either end up with a different ending or be greatly nerfed.
    • If you think the spell at the start of the final fight is unfair (it is), keep in mind you can use a purifying talisman to nullify it!
  • Ending A: "The God of Fear & Hunger"
    • Do the same thing you did for Ending B, but MAKE SURE you have the Girl in your party when you get to the end of the gauntlet. Do not give her any good spells as you will lose them.
    • It does not matter if you bring Nas'hrah here.

THE S ENDINGS

  • Cahara - "Happy ending"
    • This is the third easiest ending in the game as long as you are good at avoiding combat. Once you see Le'garde is dead (you cannot save him in Hard mode), go into Ma'habre and complete the puzzle in the past version of the Tomb of the Gods, then go to the present and head back there to collect a special key you'll need later. Head up to the first layer of the dungeons and BUY the maps off of Isayah, DO NOT FIGHT HIM OR HAGGLE WITH HIM. Head back to Ma'habre and try to decipher the maps before giving up and just googling where they lead. There is a fight that you will have to do after getting the second treasure, however it's not too difficult and you can just use an explosive vial or two. After that get the last treasure in the secret area that you can unlock with the key you grabbed earlier and bolt out of the dungeons!
    • I recommend not even bothering with trying to get necromancy so you can have allies, just move as fast as possible and don't fight anything unless you have to.
    • Getting Blood Portal by raising your affinity with Alll-mer can help with back tracking, however since you're only one person and (should) have dash, you wont be wasting too much hunger and mind.
  • D'arce - "The true god of Fear and Hunger"
    • This one is even easier than Cahara's to be honest, just head to Ma'habre, look around and outside the library for three torn instructions, craft them into a spell, learn the spell, and use it on Le'garde's corpse.
    • You don't have to fight any enemies here, just get dash and move quickly.
  • Enki - "The enlightenment"
    • Now THIS ending is quite difficult, but theres some good strategy you can use to make it more likely that you will succeed! Starting here I'll put each step in bullet points.
    • Make sure you start with Necromancy AND raised affinity towards the God of the Depths. You won't have dash but these two things greatly outweigh it in usefulness.
    • Head into the side entrance to the dungeons and use a double coinflip necromancy on the guaranteed skeleton spawn here. If it fails just restart the run.
    • Loot all of the basement levels avoiding all combat and getting any gear you can for your skeleton.
    • Head through the prisons and use necromancy on the guaranteed ghoul spawn.
    • Go to the first two levels of the dungeons. Here you're going to see how many good books/spells you can get. If you get any empty scrolls use them to learn Black Orb, Healing Whispers, Loving Whispers, and especially Blood Portal. Other than that its up to you.
    • If you've had to fight any enemies, collect their souls if possible and use them in the Hexen to learn Locust Swarm. This will be needed MUCH MUCH later.
    • Active the lever for the elevator in the Prisons and head on down to the caverns. Skip the Cave Mother and go to the Mines.
    • Once you see Nosramus, MAKE SURE YOU ARE KIND AND INTRODUCE YOURSELF. If you don't do this, you have failed this ending.
    • Get the Cube of the Depths and make your way to Ma'habre. On your way there make sure you pay Le'gardes corpse a visit!
    • While here, make sure you go to the lower thicket area in the Catacombs and use necromancy on the guaranteed skeleton here.
    • Head into the city and set up a blood portal at a ritual circle in the Tower of Endless or the Library if possible. Then either portal up the first level of the dungeons or take the walk of shame there.
    • Kill Isayah for his maps, specifically for the water walking spell you WILL NEED.
    • Go to the Library in Ma'habre and do the bossfight there.
    • Go to the location of the bossfight in the present after defeating him, and speak to the person there!
    • Head to the Salmon Snake arena in the mines and use the water walking spell to get to Nosramus' second lab.
    • Talk to him and receive the Soul Anchor.
    • From here you can either go through the rest of Ma'habre the normal way, or if you have an Empty Scroll use it to get a King's Passage Key and skip all the bossfights.
    • MAKE SURE that when you sit on the Throne of Ascension you have the Soul Anchor equipped, just in case.
    • Head through The Void and fight the traces boss, not saying the name just in case of spoilers!
    • during this fight i HIGHLY recommend spamming Locust Swarm, as it makes it super easy.
    • If you do not have this spell, the next best option is to summon a Blood Golem and use Pheromones on it. Then Pray.
    • After the fight MAKE SURE you have the Soul Anchor equipped before heading to the end.
    • Boom! You're done!
  • Ragnvaldr - "The god of ultra-violence"
    • This is widely considered the hardest ending in the game, and while I personally think people oversell the difficulty of it, its still nothing to scoff at.
    • When you spawn head to the main entrance of the dungeons. Avoid the dogs if you can, and head straight for the library.
    • Your run will entirely depend on what books and spells you get here and in the second floor of the dungeons.
    • If you get an Empty Scroll, LEARN NECROMANCY!!!!!
    • If not, restart.
    • Get the skeleton in the basement and the ghoul in the prisons.
    • from here loot literally everything you can in order to find Soul Stones.
    • DO NOT SPEND ANY ON THE HEXEN OR ON ENEMIES WITH NON UNIQUE SOULS.
    • If you have a full party of Skeletons or Ghouls, go to the salmonsnake and kill it. Take its soul and equip it to yourself. From here you have two options, either use and empty scroll to get the crow mauler soul so you dont have to fight it, or suck it up and kill that bird fucker.
    • I also recommend doing Trotur's quest for this route, as salmonsnake soul + penance armor is busted.
    • From here on its just a matter of looting every scroll and book shelf that you can in the hopes that you get good spells and empty scrolls.
    • Now once you do this, take stock of what enemies you are comfortable and uncomfortable with fighting.
    • Make a list of them, and use whatever empty scrolls you have to get the souls of the scariest ones.
    • Use your skeletons and ghouls as fodder when fighting bosses, if youre lucky and had extra scrolls you could learn pheremones.
    • Now its just a case of fighting till you finish, look up guides for enemies you are scared of if needed.

And thats it! if you have any questions, comments, or things to add please fell free to reply!

Went out to have dinner with him a bit ago and decided id tell him i was trans. When i told him he said he really didnt care and that he just wanted me to be happy, which made me cry. Then he asked if i liked men and i said, "no i like women." for some reason he understood me being trans fem but could not wrap his head around me liking women???? what?????

He was fine with it regardless but it was still so odd for me to hear that LOL.
