Is there a historical reason for the Slavic dominance in women's tennis?
Checking the WTA singles ranking, I came to notice the high prevalence of Slavic names (Sabalenka, Rybakina, Noskova, Samsonova, Benćić, Jović, Svitolina, Kostyuk, etc), and wondered if there is a historical reason behind it
