Nature Resources
Im new to homeschooling and looking for your nature activities around OKC (or day trips around Oklahoma).
Like hiking, gardens, anything.
I’m not the biggest nature girl but I really want to start digging in so I can get my kid involved!
What are your guys’ favorite OKC nature places?
Homesteading Guilt
It seems like a lot (not all) of homeschooling culture revolves around owning land and having a homestead. They push the importance of having kids outside in nature (which is true) but then show photos of kids in creeks and by forest trees.
As a new homeschooling mom who can only afford a small starter home in a small suburb, how do you guys fight the pressure or guilt to have a homestead or land? Or does anyone fee that pressure too? Just me?
Almost everyone I know that’s homeschooling is doing this and it’s making me feel like poop.
Just need some help navigating this pocket of homeschooling when it’s not something that’s financially feasible.
