Hi how do I turn this into a pattern?

Im trying to make the chibi on the right and I dont have a printer so no patterns for me unless I make it myself, hence the bowl covered in duct tape But I've reached the stage in my you tube video, where their telling me to make darts and uh..im not following how many line do I do? Where do I cut? What is a dart 🫠

Edit:I FORGOT TO MENTION IM NOT ASKING EVERYONE TO DO EVERYTHING! With a wish and smoked fish all the accessories and extra bits I made just fine it's the body shape only im asking about

Does anybody have a dome shaped pattern?

Im trying to make this from Genshin impact, and from ears to the tail and even horn shape was pretty easy to determine but the body..lil guys accessories aside the like dome shape of this dude is confusing me for no good reasons. So if anyone has a pattern that may be close in shape or a suggestion plz help.

How do I make a kind character have character development while staying kind?

I have a character called, Dawn. She's a saintess of a god of justice. Who gave up her position before she could even be recognized officially to a fake saint because a prophecy said the saintess would have to kill someone and she couldn't live with the idea of taking a life in the future.

her entire thing is being kind and noble but my problem is I may have given her morals too good for the story im writting?

Sometimes i think I might be writting her as too sympathetic. But her entire purpose is to be comparison for the Mc or 'fake saintess' as a character who haunts her narrative because people who interact with the two can tell even if they don't know that Dawn is the real thing that Mc lacks in the role of saintess in comparison too her. Because of dawns compassion and kindness.

which makes me worry im just gonna end up looping my story of oh Mc you helped me but dawn saved me.

So what's a way i could have her interact in other ways with the Mc besides just being a comparison.

Because I want them to interact more and i have tried asking others for ideas but friends mostly just wanna make them fight or argue for the flare~ but while the MC definitely would Dawn definitely wouldn't because she has 0 reason too so now im stumped. Is she too 2 dimensional?
