I avoid talking because i'm scared of sounding stupid.

I'm from Brazil, currently working in the US. Reading and listening are fine, but speaking is a whole different story. Every time I try to talk, I feel like people are judging my accent or my mistakes, so I end up staying quiet or keeping things really short. Which sucks, because I know speaking is the only way to improve.

I’ve also tried a bunch of apps, but they’re all the same boring lessons and don’t really help with confidence. Does anyone know something that actually helps you practice speaking without feeling embarrassed?

I really want to improve my english, but between work and school and everything else, i just don't have the time for long lessons every day

I've tried setting aside time to study, but it never lasts. Life's always too busy, and i end up skipping it.

Does anyone have tips for learning English without having to dedicate hours a day?

Let’s be real. People love saying they learned English only by playing videogames or watching YouTube. That’s not true. You only got good because you had years of English classes in the background, even if you hated them.

All that fun learning only worked because school gave you grammar, vocabulary, and repeated exposure. Without that, you wouldn’t understand half the stuff you think you learned on your own.

So yes, games and videos are fun, but stop pretending they replaced actual learning.
