Failed series 86 3x, next career move advice needed

Hi everyone. I’ve been in healthcare equity research for almost 3 years. At my prior firm I failed the series 86 2x. I then got laid off as part of a larger layoff. I started at a new and bigger firm in October and was given 1 year to complete my exams (I have the SIE, 87 and 63 completed). I took the 86 yesterday and was VERY prepared. I used the tutor, did many practice tests, and then missed the passing score by a few %. My new firm has a 3 test maximum and I believe that I will be terminated once the score is processed. Even if I’m not, I can’t take the exam for 6 months. That’s 6 more months of not being on reports, not being able to have client interaction, and not getting promoted/raise this year because of this.

What are some careers I can consider where I can still live in NYC? I have a science background (think PhD/masters).

Failed series 86 exam 3x potentially getting fired

Hi everyone. I failed twice at my old firm and now at a new firm I failed once. Looking for any ideas for how I can potentially bypass or invalidate my third attempt or get FINRA to bypass the 6 month wait period. Not sure if this is possible but open to any ideas or if anyone has done this before. I failed by a few questions and am really concerned about if I will lose my job now.
