Thoughts about Mexico
Un buen dia a todos!
I've been traveling for the last five months across Mexico, through eleven states from Chihuahua to Chiapas and the Yucatán. I've hopped on and off multiple colectivos, hitchhiked at times, and used BlaBlaCar a lot. I've camped in my tent, stayed in hostels or people's places along the way (through Couchsurfing), hiked in nature, and explored cities, towns, and villages. I've eaten pretty much everything Mexican cuisine has to offer—in comedores, street food stalls, and home kitchens—and I've never once been in trouble.
Mexican people have welcomed me with open arms, letting me embrace their culture, values, and traditions. The point of this post isn't to show off or tell everyone how special I am (there are many, many people traveling and experiencing Mexico this way), but only to show my appreciation for this beautiful country and its people. I hope this little bottle thrown into the sea goes against all the fear-mongering I've heard before and keep hearing now. Of course, things can happen, as in any country, but that shouldn't give anyone second thoughts about visiting Mexico.
Cuidaté, y una otra vez, muchísimas gracias por todo.
