Honest question about IPTV in the UK. Is everything just a scam now? Need real advice

I’ve spent the last few evenings trying to research IPTV options for my family here in the UK, and honestly, I am so close to just giving up. 😩

Every single forum or website I check is flooded with people claiming they found the "perfect" provider, but you click their profile and it's obviously a bot. It feels like 90% of the reviews out there are completely fake, and it's impossible to know who to trust.

I saw a few older threads mentioning a service called QuorixTV, but honestly, I'm so skeptical at this point. I have no idea if it's actually a solid service or just another overhyped scam that will buffer every night at 8 PM.

I don't need a crazy technical setup or 100,000 random channels. I literally just want a normal, stable TV experience for our home in the UK where the picture doesn't freeze every five minutes while we are trying to relax.

Has any real person actually used them, or is there another one you genuinely recommend? Please, no spam or promo links, I just want honest advice from normal users! 🙏

Smarters Lite doesn’t remember my last channel

Every time I close Smarters Lite and open it again, it goes back to the main screen instead of the last channel I was watching.

Is there a setting to make it start on the last channel automatically?
Using it on Android TV

The UK cost of living is biting, and I want to try IPTV. But does it constantly buffer on a rainy Sunday when everyone is indoors?

hi,I am hoping to get some honest advice from ordinary people who use this stuff.

Living in the UK right now, the cost of living is crazy, and my monthly TV bill from one of the big providers is just too high to justify anymore. We are trying to cut back, and a few people have suggested I look into IPTV to save some serious money.

Here is my biggest worry, though. With the rubbish British weather, our main family downtime is sitting in the living room on a Friday night or a rainy Sunday afternoon with a cuppa, just watching some good telly or a film together.

I have read so many complaints online about IPTV services constantly freezing or buffering right in the middle of a good show, especially on weekends when everyone in the country is online.

I am not a tech expert and I don't want to spend my weekends resetting routers or messing with settings. I just want to turn the TV on and relax. If I cancel my main TV contract, is IPTV actually going to work reliably during those busy weekend evenings? Or is it going to ruin our family nights in? I haven't bought anything yet and would love to hear your experiences!

Anyone else in Texas having issues with IPTV on TiviMate today?

My channels either won’t load or just spin for a long time before playing. Internet seems fine — Netflix and YouTube work without any problems.

Not super technical with this stuff, just wondering if this is usually a TiviMate issue or something else.

My IPTV was working fine yesterday, but today Smarters just keeps saying “Loading channels” and never actually loads anything.

Internet is fine, other apps work, and I didn’t change my login details.
Tried restarting the app and even rebooted the Fire Stick.

Is this usually a Smarters issue or more likely provider side?

Maybe I’m missing something simple, but every time I open TiviMate it just lands on the TV guide.

Is there a setting to make it automatically start playing the last channel I watched?
Feels like that should be an option but I can’t find it anywhere.

Running it on a Shield if that matters.
