Why is there no public hearing on this “development”? The placement of these permanent concrete tables/benches changes the use of the open lawn space. During fairs and community events, more people use and walk through the open lawn area than sit and listen to concerts.

Government agencies — including the Guam Land Use Commission, Department of Parks and Recreation, Mayors’ Council of Guam, and the Tamuning-Tumon-Harmon Mayor’s Office — should hold a public discussion on this matter.

Public spaces should remain accessible and flexible for the entire community, not shaped primarily around the preferences of one organization.
