Subreddit update: More rule changes and poll results

Let's start with an elephant in the room:

The poll results were 67.4% for punishing misinfo and 32.6% for not.

However, with only "core contributors", it is 62.3% for punishment and 37.7% for not, and only 56% for first option were regulars (with second option having 70% support from regulars).

With a lot of thinking and reading the comments (that acknowledge my wording being antagonistic to tier lists), I decided on few things.

The subreddit changes:

  • Rules "follow reddit rules" and "don't post bad things" have been merged together due to conveying basically the same thing.
  • Tier lists now will be flaired as "Interactive", since a lot of them are made to generate discourse with varying degrees of quality.
  • New rule 2 is softly enforcing English; if your post doesn't have English translation, it will be removed. This is done so everyone can understand posts without using external tools.
  • Added a new rule (and reason to report things) for not allowing deliberately wrong posts about the game. If you feel like someone misunderstands or lies about the game, please correct them or do report so moderators can correct. Posts will not be removed for educational sake.
  • Images are now allowed to be posted in comments. GIFs are not allowed, however, since they are harder to policy and use more bandwidth, than necessary.
  • I am seeking new moderators to help with cool things and battling misinformation. Here's the link: https://www.reddit.com/r/PixelDungeon/application/
  • A new wiki-related event will begin soon once I figure out the details. pixeldungeon.wiki needs you!

Thanks for detailed responses on the poll!

Context:

Over last year or so, I have been recieving complaints from PD Discord, that some people here... are just wrong, confidently wrong about the game and its mechanics. Even became an inside joke about how Reddit users are just stupid.

And worst thing: their takes get upvoted. A lot. This includes tier lists and other skill check discussions. And that is kind of sickening to me, because I feel responsible for this in a way, due to being sole owner of this place.

I have even been suggested to just erase misinfo, but being wrong isn't against sub's rules and deleting comments just due to me and Discord bros disagreeing would be definitely recieved as "Reddit mod" tyranny.

So I am putting this decision up to you, swarm. Should being wrong about the game and spreading misinfo be punishable by removals and tempbans?
