I’m writing this out of pure frustration. My EA account was compromised and the hacker changed the associated email address. I have been contacting EA Support for over a month now, and every single time they give me the same excuse: "Our tools are currently broken/under maintenance, we cannot change your email right now."
I’ve tried everything:
- Changed categories (Hacked Account, Can't Log In, etc.)
- Switched between different regions/browsers.
- Provided proof of ownership (though some advisors don't even get to that part before saying the tools are dead).
It's been 30+ days. How can a multi-billion dollar company have "broken tools" for an entire month when it comes to account security? The hacker still has access to my account, and I'm being told to just "wait" indefinitely.
Has anyone else dealt with this specific "broken tools" excuse recently? Is there any way to get an actual person who can manually override this, or should I just accept that my account is gone?
Any advice on how to escalate this to a Senior Advisor who actually has working tools would be greatly appreciated.
