If readers could swipe between POVs in real-time, would you write multi-POV stories differently?

Quick thought experiment for writers:

You've probably seen "Vantage Point" (2008 thriller) or similar stories that show the same events from multiple perspectives.

Current problem: Writers have to write those as separate chapters or intercut sections. Readers experience POVs one at a time, sequentially.

New scenario: What if readers could swipe left/right mid-scene to see the same moment from different character POVs? (Like switching cameras in real-time)

Would this change how you write multi-POV stories? Would you write MORE multi-POV content if it was easier for readers to navigate? Would different POVs feel more valuable/impactful? How would your readers respond?

I'm genuinely curious if this is a feature writers and readers would actually want, or if it's just a cool idea that doesn't solve a real problem. DM if you want to chat about interactive narrative experiments.

What would the ideal AI writing tool look like for you?

Hi r/writingwithAI!

I'm curious about what writers using AI tools actually need. If you could design the perfect AI writing assistant, what would it have?

- Better expansion (write 2K, AI makes it 8K)?

- Multi-POV generation (AI writes from different character perspectives)?

- Branching variations (AI generates alternate paths)?

- Better voice/tone preservation?

- Something else?

What's missing from current tools? Also: What AI tools are you currently using? (Spiral, ChatGPT, Sudowrite, etc.)

p.s. DM if you want to chat about AI writing workflows. I am working on building one myself.

The episode where Roy Kent joins the coaching staff is by far my favourite. I think it’s called Rainbow? The scene where She’s a rainbow is playing and he walks to the pitch. Oof!

I wish the ticket left for Roy that week was under the name ‘Gina Gershon’ coz he says to Ted that he dated Gina once.
