I’m 36 weeks pregnant and tested positive for C. Diff. I’m spiraling big time. I was hoping to do fidaxomicin, but my doctor wants me to do Vancomycin because there is more data with pregnant women.

My question is - were you monitored on Vancomycin? I’ve read you should be monitored for kidney function but she didn’t say anything about that.

Also, any words of encouragement are appreciated. I feel like my life is going to permanently change. Im worried about the baby. I’m distraught.
