What's the deal with Yangpu district?
Hi, I accepted a teaching job at a kindergarten in Yangpu and trying to figure out if it's a decent place to live. I don't know Shanghai at all so any info helps honestly!
- Is the metro decent or is it a pain to get around?
- What's rent like for a 1 bed?
- What's the general vibe - stuff to do, proximity to nightlife, good food, or more quiet and residential?
- Will I need to commute to the city center everyday for social stuff and to meet other expats?
- Any parts of the district better than others to look for a flat?
I'm open to living in a different district and commuting to work if the consensus is that it's a boring place to be in.
And if anyone's taught at a KG there or nearby I'd love to hear what the day to day is like!
Thank you in advance!
