Hostel Life
I would sayy UPES KANDOLI CAMPUS has the one of the worst and arrogant wardens..I would suggest not to join the hostel as they think as if they are the ones running this whole college. They are not at all helpful as one of my friends forgot his mobile phone and he entered the college at 7:40 but they didn’t allow him to go outside the campus and bring his mobile. They don’t allow outside food at night after 10:30 even in exams. Unnecessary checkings happen at night sometimes which shows no privacy. I would say they are not at all flexible with anything. There are no smoking rooms (we are living in 2026 not 1960s) . Curfew starts at 10:30 like we can’t roam around corridor and go in our friend’s room even in exams. Library gets closed by 8 pm which is senseless (also in exams) .Mess facilities are pathetic, you have to wait for 20-30 mins for a roti and 45 mins on weekends (not exaggerating).Non veg food is not at all well cooked.Laundry facilities are okayish as they sometimes even don’t wash your clothes. If we talk about gym, then gym is good but not spacious and many people do not get gym pass even after living in hostel. The only positive I can find is New building rooms are clean, spacious,beautiful.Housekeeping staff is really good and cooperating. Good amount of security is there. cafes are good in the campus but they are not cleaned properly but food is good especially HOD. My overall experience is not all good in hostel just because of unnecessary rules and arrogant wardens
