Can someone explain the best camera like I’m a child?

So I’m moving into a new apartment and I’ve trying to find the best camera set up for me. I’ll have two doos, so I would like one doorbell camera at the front door and just a normal camera at the back door. I also want an indoor camera to keep an eye on my dog.

The outdoor cameras need to be battery operated since I can’t drill into walls or things in the rental. The indoor camera can be plugged in. I want streaming on all the cameras, as well as videos saved for my two outdoor cameras only. I would prefer the indoor camera go through some local storage/cloud so that I can feel more secure about having a camera on me constantly.

I would also like if these cameras could be all the same brand so that I can have them on the same app or at least see them all through Apple home.

The problem I’m running into is that this is WAY too vast of a research topic and everyone who talks about it online seems to be an expert who uses 100 acronyms I don’t understand. I’m a little technologically challenged, so I just need someone to explain to me like I’m 5 years old what the best option here is.

Oh, I also need something that’s not gonna break the bank. I know that’s a lot of requirements in one, so I’m willing to be flexible on some, but the price and installation are the two biggest factors really.

Best camera brand for indoor & outdoor camera setup?

So I’m moving into a new apartment in a few months and one of the main things I want to have set up are the cameras. I need a total of 3 cameras: a doorbell camera for my front door, a camera for my back door (doesn’t have to be a doorbell camera), and one for my living room so that I can keep an eye on my dog when I’m not home.

I see SOO many people with different recommendations and opinions, but I have a list of top priorities.

- I’d like to keep them without a subscription or at least a very low one

- I would prefer they are all the same brand so that they are accessible from one app

- I want streaming and recording on the 2 door cameras and just streaming on the indoor camera

- I’d like the indoor camera to be as secure as possible (I have a bit of a tinfoil hat mentality about having a camera inside my house)

- I need them to be somewhat affordable since I have to buy 3 of them

- And of course known to be reliable and preferably a longer lasting battery (the indoor camera can be a plug-in rather than battery powered)

I know it’s impossible to find the PERFECT camera to check off all the boxes, but any recommendations would be really appreciated!
