Ever get manipulated from an evil old rich guy CEO into killing your childhood idol? You too? Damn.
This has gotta be the worst take I've ever seen on the E-Soul arc (+the state of media comprehension)
WARNING: Yap ahead
The sole focus of his entire arc was literally about he gets manipulated and corrupted into becoming E-Soul throughout the course of three episodes. You'd have to watch with your eyes closed in order to not comprehend that, it is THE core of his entire story. And while it could be confusing about who won initially, we instantly cut to Uncle Rock being the grand manipulator who orchestrated all of this. Why would he ask E-Soul 'How is the view from up here?' like he was new if it was the original that survived?
And we obviously do not get E-Soul's perspective or inner monologue after because it was NOT HIS ARC OR STORY ANYMORE. We didn't get GhostBlade's inner thoughts while he was stalking Nuonuo in the Luo Li arc, we got it in his arc because it was the arc dedicated to his perspective. None of the other characters ever got this treatment outside of the arcs focused on them, why would E-Soul get it suddenly?
This opinion above illustrates an issue the entire show faces with a large portion of the fanbase, that is people not getting basic information or characterisation right even if it's spoon fed to them. Now, To Be Hero X is not a perfect show by any means; it has a plethora of issues ranging from its pacing to some characters not getting enough time at all and has several vague plot points and mysteries. But there is a point where it stops being the show's fault and starts being viewers simply not paying attention at all. I feel like it's an issue of people just not being used to anthologies, which is fine, you don't have to like them as they're not for everyone. But, calling it a flaw of the show while getting basic plot points wrong is so disingenuous it's incredibly frustrating.
TLDR; Getting basic information wrong is not a failure on the show but a failure on the viewer's side.
