Active cooling mod for my Wurkkos HD01 pro
The UV led on my HD01 pro is burnt, Wurkkos sent me a replacement so I decided to mod the old one. The front light has 3 pins, the middle pin is common positive for both lights, 1 pin for the main light is caped at 700mA and 1 pin for UV light is constant voltage 3.4 V ( maybe thats why it burnt the UV led?).
So I swap the UV led with the SFT 12R and remove the laser pointer. Then I see there is a big empty space that can fit a 1804 fan with some heatsink. I drill 2 holes on the sides for exhaust and 4 small holes for intake. Also I flip the reflector so the SFT12R has a more focused beam.
So the setup fits together nicely. I can double click to switch the beam
I doubt the fan can dissipate much heat out of the flashlight but it is fun to have one. Hope manufacturer will implement some kind of active cooling to smaller flashlight.
