Overworld abilities work in emerald, and I know the only one that works in FRLG is illuminate. But what about Ruby and Sapphire? I would assume they don’t work?

Okay so I posted yesterday regarding my last name “Eck,” and if it had any type of significance or not. I’ll link the original post at the bottom of this one.

So over the weekend I was able to go over to my parent’s place to ask about our family history and the genealogy that my mom had started doing. My dad was also able to get in contact with my grandmother and was able to give some information on our name as well. I’ll start with what my mom was able to gather via a generic ancestral website that allows you to send in DNA. She was able to trace back 4 generations of parents from my grandmothers side of the family (my great, great grandfather & grandmother). She found a man named Hans Eck born in 1879 married to Anna Marie Skalak born in 1882. Both born in germany according to my grandmothers account. To add to that, when my dad gave my grandmother a call today she told him that our last name Eck had originally been Eche. Grandma said the name was changed a bit due to translation errors. Lastly, I found this to be interesting, was that my grandmother said that my great, great grandfather Hans came from nobility. This is my update, and I will update with further information if possible, but I think this may be as far back as we can go. Thank you all for the interesting information! I love reading it all!

So for the last couple of years I’ve been curious to learn about my last name, Eck. Coming from my father’s side of the family. There’s little to no information about my grandfather. But more or less, my grandfather was never in my father’s life so my grandmother passed the last name to him, then ultimately to me. I’m curious if there is any significance to the name or if there are others out there who share the name and might be distantly related? I saw from another poster that it could be related to Koblenz, and someone named (Deutsches Eck)? I’m no history buff by any means, but I’ve been advised to try dipping my toes into genealogy, which seems like a great start. Someone in the original post commented that it would be a stretch, but it could be related to the name Eckhart? I don't think so, but wouldn't that be crazy!? Forgive me for my naivety, I hope that I was polite! Thanks for anyone with answers. 😄
