Hello everyone,

I just wanted to get some insight what’s going.

Back Story 5 years ago after having my child I have multiple joint pain (around 2 joint) soon after primary sent me in for ANA testing. I tested positive aside from multiple joint pain I had no other issues. Sent to rheumatologist and tested positive ANA again and this time it showed very, very high scleroderma antibodies, but I didn’t follow up because I felt fine.

Fast forward to 2025 I had about 5 joints in pain and getting steroid shots every few months so ortho sent me to Rheumatologist and did a full panel and this was my labs. Started on plaquenil.

ANA: 1:160 Speckled Pattern

Anti-CarP Ab: Positive (no other antibodies found so essentially negative)

C3,C4: High

ESR: Very High

CRP: Very High

2026: Now stop flares. Rashes(never biopsied) and Raynaud's Syndrome (with very dark nailbeds), Fatigue, New Joint Pain, and Moth Cracks. Dry painful patches on face. Suspected Lupus or could it still be Scleroderma or nothing at all if my panel is negative again?

I’m Anti-Carp Positive, but RA negative. I was reading it could be a biomarker for both Lupus and RA.

I’m curreny on hydroxychloroquine that helped for about a year, then I got the flu that flared really bad and then had surgery and flared really bad. New Raynaud‘s Syndrome. Currently hanging out with UCTD diagnosis. 5 years ago I originally tested positive for SCL-70, but ended up being negative last panel. My Rheumatologist suspects Lupus and wants me to start on Biologics. She stated if panel proves something else, I would still start on Biologics anyway due to progression and symptoms and most connective tissue disease are treated similar. I’m just wondering if my panels are negative would but positive ANA again, Biologics still be approved. I have elevated C3,C4. Elevated Sed-Rate and CRP.
