Are Queen’s Grads still able to access articles through their Queen’s accounts?

Hello! Just as the title says, I’m wondering if I’m still able to read and access journal articles using my Queen’s email account.

I tried logging into Omni with my Queen’s email but it says login process failed 😔

Jobs like Case Manager that Don’t Require Driving

Hello everyone!

I’m going to be graduating from my SSW diploma program this August (I also have a joint BA in psychology and sociology) and from my placement, I have learned that I really want to do case management. However, I also noticed that all the case managers are driving everywhere and I don’t have my driver’s license yet (no G1/Learners either, but working on it).

What are some other jobs like case manager that don’t require driving? Or is it possible to get a position as a case manager where driving isn’t required?

Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone! Hoping to get some insight!

Some background info: I am a social service worker student with a dual BA degree in sociology and psychology. Currently getting an SSW diploma to get experience for an MSW. I know this is an SW sub but I’m not sure where else to seek advice 🤕.

The scenario is… my partner lives in BC but I’m currently in Ontario finishing my SSW diploma. I finish in mid August and have considered moving in with my partner and finding a job in BC immediately after I graduate. I’m just really unsure about what this process might look like.

In my SSW program, the profs talked a lot about how important it is to register with the OCSWSSW (it’s either required for some jobs or just makes job prospects better). However, when I looked at regulatory bodies for SSWs in BC, I couldn’t find anything. So my first few questions are: is there a regulatory body for SSWs? If not, are there any other requirements for being able to do SSW work in BC?

I guess besides those specific questions, I’m just hoping to hear some tips for this move in terms of jobs. I’ve only ever volunteered or did student placements, so I’m generally kinda nervous. I really don’t know what to expect going into the job market in a new province as a soon-to-be new graduate.

Thanks in advance!
