Hello there :) I’m here looking for a new best friend and perhaps romantic partner. My main priority though is best friend and then hopefully the romance will come after. I think it’s important to have a good foundation of friendship with your partner and enjoy similar things and have similar values.
So, here's a little about me: medium height (5’5”), Latina (so lightly tanned), pleasantly plump, shoulder length brown curly hair, brown eyes, and I work for a local non-profit helping kids who age out of foster care find and stay housed. No kids, unless you count my cats (I have two, one evil and one a derp). Entirely single, nothing complicated. A smidge lonely, but not desperate. I’m not in a rush, mutual trust takes time to develop.
I like to go for walks. I'm a bit of a foodie but not a snob. I don't drink (it tastes gross) but I don’t mind if you do. I love reading. Boardgames are cool. I love sewing, crocheting, knitting (the crafty trifecta) and sometimes I’ll draw. I also like to dance and enjoy going to 4th to dance every now and then.
I love roadtrips (particularly daytrips, there’s so much fun stuff to do around) but I also like doing stuff around town. I like going to the various public libraries as well as the Blanton and Zilker Botanical Gardens. I have an interest in astrophysics, history, and art. I also enjoy museums (of any kind), lectures, art shows and readings.
I am liberal, occasionally volunteer (it’s important to help our communities), believe in science and vaccines, support a woman’s right to choose, and despise ICE. Kindness and empathy are very important traits to me. I do my best to be a decent person and would like someone who also strives for the same. I’m a bit shy and anxious, but I try to make myself get out of the house and be around people (although sometimes I prefer lurking in the corner instead of socializing). I can be a bit blunt at times (I don’t use it as an excuse to be cruel though) and think that open communication is essential. I also have a bit of a pipe dream to one day move to Canada.
I don't know who I'm looking for, but I suppose some shared interests and values would be a good starting point, and some level of readiness for monogamous romantic involvement. I'm *not* looking for just a hook-up, and I definitely have strings.
