Marxism Wasn't Exported to the Caribbean It Was Proven There

Hood Communist - “The Haitian Revolution was not a peasant rebellion. It was the first successful revolution of a modern colonial proletariat. The plantation economy was not pre-capitalist. It was among the earliest and most violent forms of capitalist production.

From C.L.R. James to Eric Williams to Walter Rodney, Caribbean thinkers rejected the idea that Marxism fails the Global South. They showed that colonial capitalism was distorted, not absent. And revolutionary Cuba and Grenada proved it in practice.”

Book info:

“When Malcolm X left the Nation of Islam and set out on a pilgrimage to Mecca in 1964, he did more than cross geographic borders–he transformed his vision of faith, justice, and freedom. In Malcolm in the Desert, his daughter Ilyasah Shabazz invites us to walk beside him on that journey of spiritual transformation, reframing pilgrimage as a modern practice. In retracing his steps, she helps us see how the work of changing the world so often begins within.

A daughter’s offering to her father’s legacy, Malcolm in the Desert reveals the human heart of a legend. Shabazz extracts keen lessons about the value of slowing down, listening deeply, and remembering who we truly are. She calls us to respond to crisis with courage, to meet grief with love, to rediscover faith as a creative force for change, and to dream in more revolutionary colors. These pages paint a new picture of Malcolm X through compassionate prose and galvanizing historical insight that shine alongside Jungian, Buddhist, and Islamic principles and wisdom from leading poets and scholars. Shabazz ties it all together with simple practices to help us answer three central questions: Who are you? What do you care about? What is yours to do?”

Discussing the book “Panther Vision: Essential Party Writings and Art of Kevin "Rashid" Johnson, Minister of Defense”

This book contains our political and ideological line and basic principles of Pantherism!

Join the revolutionary college comrades!

Panther Power to the Vanguard Party!

Panther Love to the People!

Book info:

“Kevin "Rashid" Johnson entered the u.s. prison system over 20 years ago, one of countless young Black men consigned to lifelong incarceration by the post-civil right policies of anti-Black genocide. While behind bars, Rashid en countered the ideas of revolutionary Black nationalism and Marxism-Leninism, and of the people and organizations who have used and developed these ideas in previous generations, foremost amongst these being the Black Panther Party for Self-Defense. Along with other Black/New Afrikan prisoners, Rashid helped found the New Afrikan Black Panther Party-Prison Chapter, while using both his artwork and his political writings as avenues to advance the cause of liberation for all.

Here, collected in book form for the first time, are Rashid's core writings as Minister of Defense of the NABPP-PC. Subjects addressed include the differences between anarchism and Marxism-Leninism, the legacy of the Black Panther Party, the timeliness of Huey P. Newton's concept of revolutionary intercommunalism, the science of dialectical and historical materialism, the practice of democratic centralism, as well as current events ranging from u.s. imperialist designs in Africa to national oppression of New Afrikans within u.s. borders. And much more.”
