I recently went through surgery after a serious injury that happened outside of work, so unfortunately I’m not receiving any compensation. I also have a doctor’s letter stating that I may be unable to return to work for another 3 weeks or possibly longer.

Over the past 6 years, I’ve lost my mom, grandfather, uncle, a close friend, and a mentor — the people I would normally turn to in a situation like this. Right now, I truly don’t have much support, and it’s been extremely difficult. What keeps me pushing forward is my daughter, who means everything to me.
