Putting Puntland first is not about working against Somalia as a whole
I see a lot of posts from the same user talking about how Puntland is good and Somalia is bad. That is a secessionist mentality and it's not what Puntland is about. The reason Puntland was not formed until 1998 was because the people of the region were trying to restore national order. Once Puntland was formed, we had already begun to work towards a federal Somalia. A vision that took over a decade to implement and that is gradually being improved, however slow.
Putting Puntland first is about cultivating our resources to improve welfare and economy in the region. It's not about seceding from Somalia. we have invested a lot in the well being of Somalia as a whole and it's not pragmatic to nurture secessionist mentality simply because the current president of Puntland and the current president of Somalia can't work together and put their personal greed aside for the betterment of our country.
