The Stepwise Context Challenge
Abracadabra, Jumpers! Jessica here with a hopefully fun little challenge for y'all. The premise is simple, as are the rules:
From the second jump until you decide that the challenge is over, each jump must have exactly one supplement, specifically an Out of Context supplement.
Each Out of Context supplement must be directly related to the base jump you just completed.
For each jump completed, you'll get to select one reward from the section at the end of the challenge. This includes the completion of your first jump, but you have to commit to finishing at least two jumps under the challenge rules in order to qualify.
Now, before we get to rewards, let me give a quick example of what I'm talking about with the first two rules in case it's not clear. A potential chain start under this challenge might look as follows:
For the first jump, you start with Prototype, because you have zero chill and want to be OP immediately. Respect.
For the second jump, your supplement has to tie into Prototype, so you choose Out of Context Blacklight, with Justice League Unlimited as your base jump.
For the third jump, your supplement has to tie back to Justice League Unlimited, and you have a few options for that since DC gets a lot of love. You decide to go with Out of Context DC Aliens, with Sailor Moon as your base jump.
And for the fourth jump, you can't use another DC supplement because you have to choose something related to the most recent base jump, i.e. Sailor Moon. So you use Out of Context Magical Girl, which isn't Sailor Moon branded but is close enough because it's the right genre. But since you'd like to use another DC supplement, you decide to go with Arrowverse as your base jump.
And so on. Clear on the concept, I hope!
Now, on to the rewards. Each can be chosen more than once, as many times as you like:
You may add a single purchase or scenario reward to your body mod. This doesn't have to be from your current jump; if you want to body mod a perk or item from five jumps back, have at it.
Select a single drawback that you've taken up to this point. You may add this drawback to any future jump or supplement as though it were native to that jump or supplement.
You may freely give a single companion access to an Out of Context document that you've used, for which they don't already have a build. They receive whatever budget an imported companion would normally receive; in the event that the supplement does not have an import option, they receive an origin and 600 points. If they choose to take any drawbacks, they'll apply during the next jump.
Select an Out of Context supplement that you've used which includes one or more scenarios. You may bring a single scenario that you have yet to complete into your next jump, giving you the opportunity to attempt it.
