Why does Youtube flag songs pre-1923?
I'm not talking about covers of these songs made after 1923. I'm talking about songs written and recorded in the year 1910. Why are these still being flagged?

As you may know old recordings from the 1910's are in the public domain. However, there seems to people going around and copyright claiming these songs.
What can be done about this. There are a lot of cases where the songs themselves were written in the 19th century and the performance as well is from 1910.
I am not talking about modern renditions of these songs which would obviously be copyrighted. But recordings from the library of congress jukebox which are public domain.
I'm really wondering about songs that are in the public domain, like ones made before 1923, I'll see regardless, they get TAGGED on youtube.
Does this mean someone is trying to file a false claim to the song. Or is youtube simply identifying the song
Yes, downloads may be disabled. But it still sounds the most natural, the vocals and the instruments. It also flows naturally.
Even the bad generations sometimes have a good instrumental or even vocal that just sounds good.
Sometimes it is the gibberish vocals that have the best melodies, all it needs is a remix.
Suno and the other AI's just don't have this natural flow and progression, it's been years and even though Udio hasn't had any major update, it's still better.
I don't know what it is, but you'll see on social media, most people use Suno and you can just immediately tell it's Suno, Suno has this metallic sound on both the instruments and vocals that is very grating, even the latest version cannot seem to shake this off.
It is like the base and foundations of Udio is far superior.
It is a shame downloads were disabled. Hopefully they'll be enabled in the future. The stems were better, uploading your own audio is better to it just interprets it better.
Wanna use an instrumental I made prior to Oct 2025, it will be in the background for a small section of the video.
What does Youtube do if it detects this song is AI? Does it demonetize? Does it flag it as AI content. Even if it's for 30 seconds?
Is it still detectable if you use distortion?
Or is the only way around this to recreate the song in FL studio?
