Bite training an abused ferret and pics of her progress 🫶

I picked up this little girl from the back store of a pet shop where she had been abandoned with two other ferrets. They were dropped off in a hamster cage with a bag of Meow Mix. The owner of the pet store informed me they had been neglected and abused and that they weren’t friendly. I overheard the owner talking about how she didn’t know what to do with Lady because she couldn’t afford the implant she needed to treat her adrenal disease. I knew I could and asked to see the ferret. She was underweight and nearly hairless. I took her home and to the vet where she received her implant and treatment for the worst case of ear mites the vet had seen in a ferret. We are still working on bite training but she has come so far and I’m so proud of her. If anyone has any bite training advice I’m all ears. She used to really clamp down, shake her head, and occasionally draw blood on our ankles. She now will be giving kisses and then bite hard enough to hurt but not enough to draw blood. Should I be taking any kind of different approach with her due to her history of abuse? If she bites me for the rest of her life, I feel she’s earned that right lol but I would love to get her to stop
