So... I've been thinking and coming up with a crazy theory about the jacket Shantae wears in Pirate's Curse, and, believe it or not, I think I've come up with an explanation for it.
Shantae appears wearing a dark blue jacket from the beginning to the end of Pirate's Curse, and in later games she never wears it again. And that’s where my theory comes in.
You see, at the end of Risky’s Revenge, Shantae has her genie powers stolen by Risky Boots, turning her into an ordinary human. However, during the epilogue between the end of RR and the beginning of PC, it’s shown that Bolo taught Shantae martial arts, since she couldn’t use her magic to defend herself because she didn't have her genie powers at that point in the story.
Furthermore, Shantae wasn’t the only one not wearing a jacket; Bolo also didn’t wear one until the events of Pirate’s Curse. My point is that since Bolo taught Shantae to fight without using magic, it’s likely he picked up a new accessory for himself (that accessory being his jacket) and must have offered one to Shantae as well, which she agreed to wear (Probably a sign of friendship between the two, some kind of master and apprentice vibe.)
After Pirate's Curse ended and Shantae became a half-genie again, she may not have seen the need to rely solely on physical attacks to defend herself, so she stopped wearing the jacket Bolo gave her. Since he was the one who taught Shantae martial arts, she probably returned the jacket to her friend.
I don’t know if I’m overthinking too much into such a silly detail in Shantae and Bolo’s design in Risky’s Revenge and Pirate’s Curse, but hey.
As usual, an artwork about FttE!
THIS IS A WIP, WHICH MEANS CHANGES MAY OCCUR!

It was actually a pretty cool experience! It didn't take me long to beat it (around 2.5 to 3 hours), but I didn't even notice the time passing because I was so engaged from start to finish. The DLC delves deeper into the relationships between Sky, Bolo, and Rottytops, having them work as a team to save Shantae from the Dark Magic. Although the characters clash at first, by the end the team learns to work through their differences and cooperate to free Shantae.
I recommend you play it, but ONLY after you’ve beaten the regular Half-Genie Hero first.
