Warning Herpes HSV-1: Allegro Cozumel
Warning to anyone staying in Allegro Cozumel currently:
There is a Mexican couple on the resort who are from Mexico City. He is tall and fit and she is short and very slim. They have a 12 year old daughter.
They propositioned me for a threesome. I was very drunk. I spent time with them at a scheduled evening resort activity and after many drinks I kissed the woman of the couple. I thought she had a mole on her lip, she had a cold sore. It was night time and dark the whole time I spent with them so I could not see what was on her lip clearly.
She did not tell me she had a cold sore until after we kissed.
We did not have sex thank God. Only the kiss. But, I have had symptoms on my lips and believe I have contracted the HSV cold sore virus.
Be verrrry careful while partying and being carefree on vacation.
If someone has a mole near or on their mouth and you might have intimate contact with them ask them about it and try to view it in bright lighting.

I am not trying to stigmatize cold sores. Or make anyone who has them feel bad. I understand this virus is everywhere in the world in large numbers.
However, I still believe people have the right to know and to choose to contract something permanent or decide to call it a night. It is completely wrong of someone to have an active outbreak of anything contagious (even the flu in my opinion) and take advantage of someone very drunk and not inform them that they are actively contagious.
