United States Washington DC : Does Congress have the authority to be able to remove the 1982 deadline to pass the Equal Rights Amendment?
I am really interested in the Equal rights amendment and i would like to know if the 1982 deadline to pass the ERA can be removed or extended by congress to allow the Equal rights amendment to become the 28th amendment of the constitution? I would also like to know if states that voted to ratify the ERA can rescind their vote? Is there a way the ERA can pass that way or must the process start again to pass the ERA like justice Ginsberg believed should be done?
