CERN Swiss Card

Hi guys. Not 100% sure how this works and while I have read this guide https://admin-eguide.web.cern.ch/en/procedure/swiss-cards, I do have a question on top of mind that I am hoping someone will be able to address. Can I use my Swiss card to apply for a working permit in Switzerland, or is my Swiss Card only bound to CERN related purposes? Am I right in saying that if I apply to a local shop, they wouldn't be able to accept me because I do not hold a standard work permit?

TIA!

Where to stay? Makati, Kapitolyo (Pasig), Mandaluyong, or Taguig

Hi guys. Hope you are all well! Pretty new to adulting life, and wanted to seek for nuggets of wisdom from folks who have been through ups and downs of this phase.

We are a couple on our mid 20's and are planning to get married next year. As that timeline gets closer and closer, we wanted to plan and position ourselves well ahead of wedding day by first looking for a place to stay (para less stress later on). Based on your experiences, do you guys have any suggestion on which we should be choosing from the following places:

  1. Makati
  2. Kapitolyo in Pasig
  3. Mandaluyong
  4. Taguig

For added context po, here are few things about us:

  1. Our combined gross monthly salary is ~100k
  2. We are both operating in a hybrid working environment (twice a week, and we both report to Makati offices)
  3. Savings oriented po kame. As much as possible, gusto sana namin ng place na within ~15k (max for rent only) lang ang babayaran. And then, do aggressive savings (invest to something, etc.) so we can retire hopefully around mid 40's or so.
  4. We'd love to have convenience. Like close to grocery stores so we could cook more than fall into "order food out" temptation, maximized safety, at hindi bahain na lugar po.
  5. Wala pa naman po kaming planong magka-anak within the first year of marriage. We'd like to enjoy our "new" union moments first before we proceed in furthering our family.

Not sure if its wise to rent an apartment, go on a subdivision, or just start financing a house. We are also considering the idea of just semi-furnished places as we are considering buying furniture of our own din.

Appreciate you reading up until this point!

PS. Forgive me if I am asking naive questions! I understand that there are no instances when people get it always right the first time (this applies to us too!), so I welcome all constructive feedback you could share as well as advices.
