IS - Quit at 6 months without anything lined up, got a job at a F10 in 3 months

I hope this post can be reassuring for those who truly believe Epic isn't a good fit for them, but have doubts about leaving.

I left Epic at 6 months knowing I was struggling mentally and it wouldn't set me for success for my desired long term career path.

I had a lot of doubts the weeks leading up to when I left, but with determination to find a job that would fit my career goals, I was able to land 15 interviews from 100 applications in 3 months, and receive 3 offers before settling on a role at a Fortune 10 company.

Some caveats:

- I was very fortunate and grateful to have the full support, emotionally and financially, of my parents who knew that I was struggling mentally at Epic

- I had internship experience during college, which gave me an edge in applications

When I left and moved back home, I treated recruiting like it was a full time job, and spent lots of time recovering by spending time with friends and family. In the process, I regained my confidence, and was able to land 3 offers.

For some people Epic is a great fit, but for my career goals, it personally wasn't. I want to provide this perspective to anyone who wants to take the leap of faith for their long-term happiness. Open to questions!
