Long story short I’ve had a couple of plumbers come out quoting me on a new water heater and unfortunately it’s just not in the finances right now.

I’m getting a 6-1 (or 7) error on the Honeywell gas control system. Second plumber checked the valves and replaced a gas line but the pilot keeps going out once a week, but with a quick reset it works fine until it doesn’t again.

I’m noticing this build up in the power vent tube, how screwed am I if at all? And is just resetting this thing okay to hold me over until I have some funds for a new water heater?
