We stopped at Bella Notte in Fantasyland for lunch and the queue was SO long! With no self‑service checkouts, everything moves slowly, and the little bottleneck between the till and the pick-up counter was complete mayhem with it being a sold-out day!
Self‑service kiosks and more thought about the space would make a huge difference here. In some of the other quick-service restaurants across both parks, the kiosks work brilliantly - even with the dining plan, you just scan your pass to redeem your credits. Meanwhile Bella Notte had the queue stretching around the building outside, with a cast member handing out menus to “speed things up”, but it didn’t seem to help 😂
Because we were on the Full Board Dining Plan, we all ordered the Mickey pizzas:
🍕 Adults: Larger Mickey pizza (choice of flavour) + garlic bread or salad (we chose garlic bread - and it was delicious!)
🍕 Kids: Smaller Mickey pizza (no choice of flavour) + cherry tomatoes or salad + 2 Babybels or a mini Magnum/
🥤 All meals came with a drink
The sun had come out, so we didn’t mind sitting outside in the end when we couldn't find a table - but it is frustrating to us, when you’re paying to dine in a themed restaurant, to end up sat on metal garden furniture outside in the manic pathway! Many of the tables inside and out were being taken by groups eating picnics (signage saying this wasn't allowed) or who had a family member stood in the 30 min queue for food whilst they held the table and staff weren’t saying anything unfortunately 😬
The kids LOVED the pizzas, and the snacks were really handy later in the afternoon when the kids got peckish. We did find Casper’s kids’ meal to be a bit small for him (he’s very tall for 9 and a growing lad!), but Robyn wasn’t very hungry after having stomach flu, so she shared hers with him and it worked out fine! 💚
