Defended my PhD thesis on AI today!
I wanted some themed image, so I took a screenshot of this video with a DeepDream frog. (DeepDream is a 2015 deep-learning model that enhances patterns in an existing image, creating that classic hallucinatory look).
I know this sub has a lot of fatigue regarding modern "AI slop", which I completely understand, even though I believe the real issue with "AI slop" is the slop part, not the AI itself. But I'm more than happy to chat about it :)
