Hello, I’m just looking for some clarification regarding after care for my child’s stitches. He is a 3 yr old male, 39lbs. It’s been two days so I’m going to remove the tape covering his stitches and gently clean the area. It says to apply ointment then a dry gauze bandage. Is the dry gauze bandage the tape that’s currently covering the stitches? Also how long do I keep the bandage on after cleaning?
I’ve attached the after care instructions. I will also attach what’s currently covering his stitches in comments as I can’t post more than picture in post
