Does social media content ACTUALLY help musicians locally?

I am having some debates with my fellow artists in my community about the importance of CONTENT in finding fans and gigs locally.

My take is that content can help you find fans internationally, maybe boost some numbers on streaming platforms, but in terms of finding actual gigs and fans to come said gigs, you need radio/tv and other such platoforms more than you need social media.

In my country there are some management/booking agencies dedicated to non-mainstream artists that, in my view, should do their best to secure radio and tv appearances for those artists. Instead, what they do is insist that we "should do more content".

What is your take on this?

I finally completed my dream Lego set.

It had its challenges, especially the third box. Made some mistakes along the way, but thankfully they were fairly easy to fix.

I also made a small modification, I added a third pillar below the bridge because that was bugging me a lot. The original model looks like it's missing a tooth to me. That forecastle is Titanic's face, after all.

Hope you enjoy these pictures I took. :D
