Rejected uottawa

So I just got rejected this morning. I’m a CEGEP student who never finished their program, and they told me I’d need to improve my academic average before reapplying. They suggested either continuing studies at CEGEP (I would never do that it’s hell) or improving my record through university studies first.

I applied to TESL and FSL, but I wasn’t in a good place mentally during CEGEP and it really affected my grades. My average is around 61%, and even the declaration of personal experience didn’t help unfortunately lol.

Do you know what types of university programs are usually non-competitive or easier to get into, but could still help me raise my average and eventually transfer into education later?

Hi everyone! I'm new here, so l apologize if this has been asked before. I'm a CEGEP student from Quebec and I applied to the Second Language Teaching (ESL) program for the Fall semester. I know it's not as competitive as Computer Science or Law, but I'm a little bit below the required admission average.

I submitted the Declaration of Personal Experience to explain my situation and my background. Has anyone here been accepted into this program (or a similar one) with a slightly lower average? I'm trying to figure out if I still have a good chance or if the program is usually full.

Thanks for your help! :)
