Resurrect the JFK express!!!!

Run some R211s between Sutphin Blvd and Howard Beach with the airplane bullet displayed on the trains and at station entrances.

The route -

Queens:

Sutphin Blvd-JFK -> Court Sq-23 (E)

Manhattan:

Lex-53 -> 42nd-PABT (E)

42nd-PABT -> Fulton St (A)

Brooklyn:

High St -> Grant Ave (A)

Queens:

80 st -> Howard Beach (A)

And vice versa all the way back.

Thoughts?

Another extension idea

Instead of ending at Euclid, the C will continue directly to JFK via a brand new tunnel.

The new ROW will start at the junction where tracks lead to Pitkin Yard, following Conduit Avenue and Belt Expressway, before offshooting into the center of JFK, connecting to one of the arrival terminals.

Thoughts?

Would this be redundant?

Currently, the A train terminates at Ozone Park-Lefferts Blvd.

I was thinking, by extending the A from Ozone Park along Liberty Avenue to Van Wyck and connecting to a newly built Airtrain station, passengers heading to JFK can take any A train regardless whether it's heading to Ozone or the Rockaways.

The new terminal would be named "Ozone Park-JFK", or something similar.

But seeing that Jamaica is close by, that begs the question in the title:

Would that be redundant?

Let's have an ugly station contest!!!

In the comments, name a station that you think is the ugliest. Whichever station gets the most likes, is the ugliest.

For me, I have 5 contestants:

  1. Hoyt-Schemerhorn (A/C/G)

  2. Chambers Street (J/Z)

  3. Bowery (J/Z)

  4. 149th Street-Grand Concourse (2/4/5)

  5. Nostrand Avenue (A/C)

Out of the 5, Chambers is ugly!!! 😵‍💫

Imagine if all 472 stations were built like 21st-Queensbridge....

The station looks pretty modern, kind of like Amsterdam metro.

It's nice to see that Junius and Livonia will finally be connected to allow for a seamless, fully accessible transfer.

But if a person in a wheelchair just want to get from one side of the neighborhood to the other without going through MTA, how would that work?

Or would that be the responsibility of DOT? 🤔
