Lola‘s and Vince‘s "relationship" makes me feel really uncomfortable

I find it hard to even call this a "relationship" because Vince is essentially grooming Lola into being together with him.

Lola was only 14 in season 4 (when they started dating), and Vince Blake was supposed to be 21 (!!) years old in the fourth season. This is just outright creepy and we really cannot let this slide.

It really is time we have a thorough discussion on here about Nick shows and creepy age differences, because this is a pattern that spans across many Nick shows for some reason. If you guys ever watched iCarly, there was an episode where Carly dated a bad boy. Carly was also only 14 in that episode while that bad boy was 25.

Why is it that in Nick shows, there is this creepy "trope " (if you can even call it that) where a minor (usually a girl) dates an of-age person (usually a guy)? Why can‘t they make the characters date someone their same age? Why must they always put their illegal and sick fantasies in shows, kids shows at that??

Things I never really understood about Season 1:

Why was Quinn allowed to live alone, but Dana wasn‘t?
If you guys remember: in the Pilot episode Dana said, that she was required to share with Zoey and Nicole, but why was Quinn allowed to have her own room then? Why did this rule apply to Dana, but not for Quinn? Is it because Quinn has special needs or something?

Wasn‘t Dustin a little too young to go to a boarding school?
He was like 10 years old in this season. Isn‘t that a bit too young to attend a boarding school and live without parents? I don‘t know about you guys, but where I‘m from this probably wouldn‘t be allowed.
Besides, his dorm is also shown for a brief scene in the episode "Defending Dustin“…no signs of roommates here either. I guess the administration really screwed Dana over.

Why was Zoey expelled from PCA in "Prank Week" for pulling an innocent prank, but Quinn wasn't expelled for literally trying to murder people?
An ultrasonic device that renders people unconscious somehow isn‘t worth being expelled over, but Zoey pulling a prank on a statue somehow is? Can somebody please make it make sense?

Chase was paired with Zoey, Dana was paired with Logan… why didn‘t they make Nicole and Michael date eachother too?
This never made sense to me. They were both the quirky ones in their respective friend group and they both had really similar personalities in general.
I always thought this was because it would be an interracial pairing, but Dana and Logan also are an interracial pairing, right? So why didn’t they make Nicole and Michael date eachother too?I think Michael and Nicole would have been an interesting relationship dynamic worth exploring.

Whatever happened to Zoey and Dana wanting to become team captains for the basketball team?
In the Pilot Episode, Dana and Zoey were asked by the coach if they want to become team captains. Zoey and Dana (kind of) said yes. Yet, this never gets brought up again…why though?
It‘s kind of weird that they abandoned this story line, because it felt like Zoey and Dana finally becoming team captains was so emphasized in the Pilot episode. So I thought this would become important later on in the season. I guess I was wrong…

Why weren‘t Chase, Logan and Michael allowed to have Elvis the dog in their dorm room, but that one kid in the Episode "Webcam" was allowed to have a whole damn goat?
Chase delivered Sushi to that one boy, who had a goat as a pet. PCA rules really don‘t make any sense.

Why didn‘t Quinn attend the PCA School Dance?
She wasn‘t even mentioned in that episode. Where was she anyway? I know she was more socially anxious in season 1, but I thought everyone was required to go to that School Dance (at least everyone in 8th grade). This could‘ve been an opportunity to explore the dynamic between Quinn and Mark too, since they were already dating at this point of the show.

Come to think of it, Season 1 has a lot more missed opportunities than any other season of Zoey 101, in my opinion at least.

Currently started to rewatch Season 2 and In the Season 2 episode Back to PCA it is revealed that Dana left PCA. Nicole reveals that she's glad that Dana left. Zoey just chuckles this off.

Also notice that Zoey and Nicole dont even mention Dana's name once in this episode? Only Chase mentions her name once. Zoey and Nicole keep referring to Dana as "roommate" or "she" or something like that. It’s like Dana is Lord Voldemort or something.

Also in the episode time capsule, Zoey talks about all the friends she met in PCA. She didn't seem to mention Dana here either. She even mentions Lola who was only there for one episode up until this point and even talks about Logan. This suggests that Zoey and Nicole dont really think of Dana as a friend and quickly forgot about her when she left.

I was surprised to learn that Dana was even mentioned in the Zoey 102 movie.

So, Alexa claims that in the Season 1 finale "Little Beach Party“ Kristin pushed her into a pile of rocks. She claims there was a scene with Dana and Nicole behind rocks.

Now, I rewatched Little Beach Party countless of times and yes, there was a scene with Dana and Nicole (where they had to make a fire) but they weren‘t really behind rocks together. Not to mention, Michael was also there.

Was this really true or a lie made up by Alexa to make her seem more like a victim? Is there any evidence that Kristin really pushed her?

I think the Zoey 101 Casting Team and production Team were originally going for a more diverse cast, however this intention ended up not really going anywhere;

The side-characters in season 1, a lot of more of them seem to be people of color than in later seasons, like Vicky for example who appeared in some season 1 episodes and Tasha who appeared in the Pilot episode as part of the Basketball Team and in New Roomies. In later seasons, a lot of side characters are white, like Vince Blake or Stacey.

Also The Main cast seems to be more diverse in the first season; Dana was an obviously Latina character, whereas Lola, while also half-latina, for the longest time i thought she was also supposed to be white, but then I looked up on the Internet that she was also half-latina.

The background characters seem to also be more diverse in the First Season, so I observed.

I wonder if that‘s because of Dan Schneider‘s racism, because he has a lot of racist undertones in his other shows (e.g. Rex from Victorious or André not dating anyone from the main cast).

i‘ve seen people on this sub talk a lot about Britney Spears and Kristin Herrera and their roles in this whole argument between Alexa Nicolas and Jamie-Lynn Spears, but people haven‘t talked a lot about Victoria Justice. So I think we need to clear up what Victoria Justice‘s role was in all of this.

Alexa said at the start of the second season, her and Victoria were friends and Jamie never spoke once with Victoria. Towards the end of the second season Victoria and Alexa had an Argument about a Boy. After that, Victoria was seen in Jamie‘s van and was friends with her, so Alexa said.

So Victoria Justice turns out to be a bully too? According to Alexa?

Okay, so a lot of people are saying that Dana is supposedly a tomboy and more masculine than Zoey, Quinn and Nicole because of her behavior and her hobbys, but that‘s simply not true.

Dana was interested in sporty hobbys like basketball and skateboarding and was an athletic person in general. She also was very direct, rude, messy, aggressive and could get quite physical. Yes, a lot of these traits and interests are more associated with masculinity in society and, correct me if I‘m wrong, might be more prevalent in masculine people, but you can still be feminine and be a messy person, aggressive, have an interest in hands-on type of hobbys and be a physical person. Those traits aren‘t exclusive to being a tomboy or being masculine. You can be girly and still be all of those things, which I think Dana is a perfect example of how that can be possible.

Therefore, I think Dana is just as girly as Zoey, Quinn and Nicole. She isn‘t a tomboy, neither is she masculine; she just had different personality traits and hobbys than the other girls on the show.

Nicole was supposed to be 12 in the first season, while Zoey was 13 and Dana was 15. What 15 year old hangs out with a 12 year old?
