Before I’d rather shit in my hands and clap before I’d go to Australia. Then I watched The Big Lez Show. I’m now doing a semester abroad.

I’m day 8 post op and the back of my calf is sore. I don’t have any symptoms of a potential DVT, no redness, no increased increases in swelling, no discoloring and is the same temperature as the rest of the leg. Apparently this is common but damn. I can do ankle pumps without worry and stuff of the sort however
Edit: I was wrong, it’s not my calf it’s slightly under my leg, it’s where they graphed my hamstring
You guys know those parkour videos that are meant to be funny or people falling that be on Instagram and TikTok and stuff like that? I used to get them occasionally on my feed, but I never really thought they were funny. I was just like are you stupid right but now whenever I see them like of like a person falling on their foot awkwardly or anything like that I feel it in my foot like I can’t even even if it was considered funny I can’t laugh at it anymore. It’s not triggering, but like it makes me squeamish.
It does get better. Tuesday(4/21) was my surgery. Days 1 and maybe 2 were the hardest post op bc of the nerve block wearing off. but it’s been smooth sailing since. I took my first dump day 3. Wound check went well. Got my mummy wrap off and such. I didn’t take any painkillers yesterday (day 5 post op) and switched to Ibuprofen. I’ve managed to be moving around more but fuck crutches do not get easier. I’ve been icing and eating decently well though I have had strange cravings for sweet things. Today is day 6 and fuh my lower back is hurting me. I had to wait to eat smth bc I forgot to ask my mum for a banana before she went to go buy us coffee. I have no pain in my knee at all just my lower back. I also feel rather drained and fatigued today. I haven’t felt this way since day 2 post op but hopefully the ibuprofen kicks in soon. I do have a paper to write I just don’t have the energy for it at the moment. I’ll be better later just wanted to post on here that it does get better.
