Joined the cool kids club!
Hey cool kids! I just got my first EV, a 2025 Equinox EVLT2 in Galaxy Grey. Out the door we were at $26k USD. Not shabby. Coming from a 2018 Accord Sport 6 speed manual. Great car, but the costs of gas, the clutch was starting to get soft, and wanting to join the EV community, this was a good find.
We looked at a Mustang Mach E and Ioniq 5. The backseat of the Mach E wasn't great for my kid. Loved the I5, but every one we looked at around here was ROUGH. The ICCU was also a concern.
We like the space of the Equinox, the ride is very comfortable, and the range is what I need for my commute. I'll be getting a level 2 charger installed in a few weeks. My biggest challenge is changing my brain from 6 speeds and three pedals to an EV lol.
