Anybody Have Experience Getting Autographs on their Avatar: The Last Airbender The Art of the Animated Series Artbook?

As title asks.

I am going to my first convention in the near future, and I am interested in having the ATLA voice actor sign on the page where their character is featured.

I want to make sure I am aware of any optimal practices to preserve sharpied autograph on page within so that it doesn’t smear or smudge. I own the 1st edition hardcover by the way.

Like how long I should keep book open before closing to ensure ink dries completely? Or if it is recommended to insert something in middle book to ensure autographed page doesn’t make contact with adjacent page?

Going to First Convention. Need Tips for Preserving Autographs from Voice Actors from Getting Smeared and/or Smudged

As title asks.

I’m getting pages in hardcover art book, poster prints, and 4x6 photo prints signed tomorrow. I wanted to get tips on ensuring the autographs are preserved to the fullest (most likely sharpied), whether that include making additional last minute purchases (like for plastic or glass protectors) or not.
