This is my very first time having a garden so I have no idea what I am doing but I just got my first strawberry growing here and it is so exciting 🥹
My husband (25M) and I (25F) really want to start a family in the next five years or so. We are from northern Canada and starting to think where would be the best place to raise children and we can never decide and was hoping to get insight from people that where raised in either of these places and what your opinion is.
I have a UK passport but only speak English. He has an EU passport and can speak Spanish and English. Neither of us know Swedish but we have some close friends that live there and say it is amazing for having a family.
I love the culture in Spain and think it is very family oriented. I love the UK in general because that is where my family is from and it feels like home when I go there. And Sweden sounds like a very calm people oriented country to be in which I love.
My wedding day was truly magical. My husband is the man of my dreams and everyone that surrounded us made us feel so special.
We chose to get married at The Royalton in Cancun, Mexico. We had people coming from all over the world and this was a good middle point and perfect to have everyone in one place. Having everyone getting to know each other before the wedding day was the best thing ever because they were all besties by the time the wedding came around.
Now let’s turn to the “ugly”… the hotel staff 😬. On the day of the wedding, our planner asked my husband a million things that needed to be decided but she hadn’t bothered to ask us before hand. She wanted to ask me but I was off site getting my hair and makeup done with no cell service. My room had not been cleaned even though my husband called reception 4 times to come and clean it so my bridesmaids had to clean up so we could have nice “getting ready” photos. The bouquets were the completely wrong colour and our planner said it was close enough (we asked for light blue and white flowers but I got a pink, orange and blue bouquet). The beautiful blue ribbons I chose for the isle were nowhere to be seen. Our guests got lost getting from the cocktail area to the reception so we went to get them and lost quite a bit of time - I later complained about this and the planner said that we lost time because “we went to nap in our room” (she literally had no idea that guests where lost in the massive ass hotel). We had a piñata which I had told her about and had asked her to have a bat ready for us, but we got a broom that snapped in seconds and it took forever to brake the piñata. Our planner disappeared in the middle of the evening and left someone else in charge without even letting us know.
