I imagine West Virginia preserving our culture, land, and coming together to fight rising utilities, and helping our neighbors in the southern part of the state who dont have water. Communities being active, small community farms and small businesses booming if we helped give tourists a reason to come. What about you?
West Virginias roots - community, unions, supporting each other in the working class. Unfortunately we have so many issues in WV and a lot of us feel like our actions dont matter. Just looking for discussions.

Hi everyone. I wanted to formally introduce myself. My name is William Polhamus, and I have teamed with a few people to start a civic based project in West Virginia. I am a native West Virginian and grew up in Slanesville West Virginia. My biggest inspiration for this project was seeing how much negativity and misinformation there was around the civic square - so I wanted to build a useful resource that West Virginia maybe has never had. It started out by interviewing our federal candidates, but has slowly involved into becoming a whole civic platform, or civic infrastructure. So I totally didn't think to come to reddit, I was able to interview 15 of our federal candidates in West Virginia. These interviews are long form and ask a lot of important questions. Along with these, I provided summaries, transcripts. I also am in touch with many of the delegates and state senators to do interviews and will be doing a lot.
