Hey everyone! Posting this on behalf of The Stonettes:
- Spotify w/ backing track music before we joined: https://open.spotify.com/artist/46WFnUZURASwleYemK7qiv?si=WLxjCvYaRXqqSGPpBipzkw

Two musicians with previous experiences in gigging bands now living in Olympia, just joined up with The Stonettes (think Bikini Kill meets Siouxsie and the Banshees) to be their backup band + make new music with them. We practice in a make-do garage space in a suburban neighborhood. Somewhat low budget, punky/grungy, lots of energy, a few gigs coming up, building something bigger, more professional, and looking forward to increasing quality, presence, and performance dates.

Current setup:
- 3 vocalists/primary writers (The Stonettes)
- 1 drummer
- 1 multi-instrumentalist (guitar, bass, keyboard, drums, etc.)
Practice times vary between Tues/Fri 6-9pm, Sat/Sun 5:30-9pm. Usually once a week, but we’ve only played a few times so far together.

Seeking a third instrumentalist primarily to play bass, but excited if you’re bassist/guitarist/keyboardist (would be fun to switch things up from time to time). We’re not looking for ego or soloist-only mindsets — music can be simple or more intricate, just doing what serves the songs best. Varying levels of musicianship involved from each person involved too. We’re currently learning a previously written lineup/set list, playing around with our sound, doing a lot of repetition to perfect things, etc. New ideas for covers or originals are welcome right now too. Definitely all anti-facist/anti-MAGA people here as well.

Us instrumentalists are toying with the idea of wearing similar tracksuits as part of a look/gimic/cause we think they’re fun, but that is in no way concrete haha. Happy to have theatrics during performances regardless. Into collaborative creation and input from all members with OG Stonettes at the front to support their vision.

Gigs lining up for early June, Lakefair in July, and beyond.

Share your influences and we can share ours. Let us know if you’ve had any previous gigging experience, your typical free time for practice, your equipment, recordings of you playing if you have any, weird anecdotes or random facts, blahblah, etc.

DM if interested. We’ll get in touch for audition/rehearsals if we think we’re all a good fit.

Thanks y’all!
