Someone recently recommended this manga to me on this sub, and while the premise might sound boring and repetetive, it was actually really good and enjoyable read. Chapters aren’t long, so the pacing felt just right and it wasn’t stuck in one place for too long. Characters got their developement and no dumb regression or other misunderstandings. And most importantly, couple isn’t established only at the very end, so you can see their relationship grow. Pic is actually a side couple that’s not really shown much, but I found it funny how the shy girl got so bold all of a sudden and just wanted to share this panel lol.

Plot: Meika is serving as a maid to MC in his house because of old promise she made, while his father works overseas. At first she wants to be just his maid and fulfill her promise, however, their relationship starts to gradually change and she can’t hide her emotions…

Tsubaki Kuchinashi is an arrogant young lady who is frustrated because things are not going her way. In order to get Tadashi Kiritsu, a strict and annoying member of the school discipline committee, expelled from the school, she decides to use her feminine charm to trick him. However, her attempts are completely ineffective against his steadfast nature. Instead of ruining him, Tsubaki~sama is the one who constantly gets flustered, leading to a hilarious gap~moe dynamic where she ends up being the one getting played with emotionally.

Why It Should Be Picked Up

This series is an incredibly entertaining rom~com with a fantastic back~and~forth dynamic between the two leads. Unlike many standard romances, the characters actually communicate, self~reflect, and show genuine growth as the series progresses. The male lead is highly unusual for the genre, as he retains strong boundaries and logic, while the female lead's tsundere personality makes for great comedy.

Currently, the scanlation seems to have stalled around chapter 54, and many fans are eagerly waiting to see the conclusion of their story now that they have reached a pivotal point in their relationship.

It was really entertaining and enjoyable read, even though there were parts that romance got sidegraded a bit, it was still really good and all characters were great, not just the main couple. No dumb tropes or baits. Proactive fmc and mmc are always welcome in my opinion than your usual repetetive shy tsundere cast.

Plot: Mc falls in love with supernatural legend and are in the arranged marriage from the start so that she doesn’t disappear (mc’s family have power of words to keep her story alive). She is against it at first, but later…
