M40a5 specs?
I've been slowly building an M40a5 and I finally have in my possession, what i consider the grail part.
A Schneider barrel.
These last few days i have been scouring the internet, trying to find information for my gunsmith. He has some sources and i have... the internet.
We're both trying to find a drawing or a schematic of the barrel that is supposed to be milled.
Do any of you fine gentlemen have any information at all?
here is what we know:
The barrel is 24in past the recoil lug. But does that 24in include the threads for the muzzle device?
The chamber is 3in before the taper. Does that include the treads for the action + recoil lug?
I called GAP thinking they would help a builder out but was harshly told "We don't give out that information"
